This is a delicate example of a Crazy Lace Agate cabochon. This cab is a nice example, featuring ornate patterns in whites, grays, and sections in slight gold. There are some nice translcuent sections, rendering a 3-D effect in places.
"Crazy Lace" is one of my favorite forms of agate. It is exceptionally intricate, and makes an outstanding collector's piece. It exhibits a lace-like pattern with forms such as eyes, swirls, bands and zigzags.
This one is good for those interested in collecting the many forms of Agate, Jasper, or sometimes "other" minerals.
Although this is a cab, you can also glue on "bails", or have the piece drilled to accept a pinch bail. Either approach will let you turn this sample into a fine pendant.
